MATS University, Raipur run by Shri Bhagwan Mahavir Jain Education and Cultural Society, is a private university of Chhattisgarh state, established by the Government of Chhattisgarh in 2006. The university has two campuses – one is at the heart of the city, next to Pandri Bus Stand, Raipur while the main campus is spread across 130 acres of green lush land in Aarang in the outskirts of Raipur with a well-connected network of public transport. The university is recognized by UGC and approved by NCTE, AICTE, AIU, and BCI. The university is accredited by NAAC with a B++ Grade. In 2023, a Super Indian Award was given to the Hon’ble Chancellor Sir of MATSUniversity for Exemplary Work in the field of Higher Education.

MATS University offers several Diploma, Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral Programs through 14 schools or academic departments. Currently, it boasts 17,000+ strength of students pursuing UG and PG degrees under Regular and Distance Learning Programs.The institute accepts entrance test scores like JEE/ CG-PET/ MU-PET/ GATE/ CAT/ MAT/ XAT etc. to allow admission into the programs namely BTech, MTech, MBA, respectively. During the 2023 admission session, the CAT cutoff for the MBA program remained at 70 percentile for the general category students. Also, MATS University provides placement to its eligibile students every year and the highest package goes up to INR 10 LPA as per the placement records. Some prominent recruiters of the institute include Reliance Trends, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Cipla, Pantaloons, etc.
