Only way to become doctor in India. After MBBS + internship you can practice as medical officer (with state registration), or pursue MD/MS/DNB via NEET PG, or go abroad via USMLE/PLAB.

1. Appear for NEET UG
720 marks, Physics/Chemistry/Biology, NTA conducts. Only exam valid for MBBS in India – AIIMS, JIPMER also via NEET UG now.
2. Qualify & Register for Counselling
MCC: 15% AIQ govt, 100% AIIMS/JIPMER/deemed/central, ESIC, AFMC. State: 85% state quota. 4 rounds + stray vacancy.
3. Choice Filling & Allotment
Fill colleges by preference, seat allotment based on AIR, category, state domicile, then document verification at allotted college.
4. Join & Start Foundation
Report, medical fitness, hostel, 1-month foundation course (communication, ethics, AETCOM), then Phase I classes.
