TANCET Preparation Strategy

To start the preparation of the TANCET, you should have a thorough understanding of the TANCET Syllabus, exam pattern, identify strong and weak areas, and maintain consistent daily practice. You should divide the Preparation Strategy into a 3-phased approach over 6 months:

  • In Phase 1 (Months 1–2 – Foundation), concentrate on syllabus understanding, developing conceptual clarity, and creating formula sheets—particularly for Quantitative Aptitude and Data Sufficiency.
  • During Phase 2 (Months 3–4 – Practice & Consolidation), practice sectional tests, reinforce weak topics, and begin full-length mocks to improve accuracy and speed. Focus on high-weightage areas such as arithmetic, geometry, and reasoning.
  • In Phase 3 (Months 5–6 – Revision & Mock Tests), appear for several mock tests, practice crucial formulas, and go through previous TANCET papers to see common question patterns. During the last weeks, revise alone and mentally prepare for the exam.

Focus on Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning, which holds nearly 60% of the total score.

TANCET Previous Year Papers

TANCET last year’s question papers are crucial to know exam trends, difficulty of questions, and most asked topics. Practicing question papers enables effective time management, improvement in accuracy, and learning weak points before the exam.
