Ans. Student life at GIPE is active and interesting, with academic seriousness combined with extracurricular activities, student-run clubs, and periodic events such as debates, seminars, and fests. Intellectual discussions and a collaborative atmosphere are often enumerated by students as major features of GIPE life.

Ans. Though GIPE specializes in core educational programs in economics and associated disciplines, it also occasionally conducts international conferences, guest lectures by international specialists, and collaborative research. However, formal semester exchange programs do not exist as of now.

Ans. GIPE lays a great deal of stress on research, especially in economics, development studies, and public policy. Post-graduate students, as well as Ph.D. scholars, can work on faculty-directed research projects, write for GIPE’s working papers, and publish in well-known journals. Research centers for agriculture, financial economics, and population studies are also present within the institute.

Ans. GIPE offers merit scholarships, particularly for postgraduate students who are outstanding academically. Besides this, students are eligible for government scholarships and education loans. There also exist fee waivers on a performance and financial basis, though their availability may differ each year.

Ans. GIPE has limited hostel facilities on campus, mostly for outstation students. The hostels are well-equipped, secure, and situated near academic buildings. But since the facilities are limited, many students prefer staying in PGs or rented flats in the vicinity, which are economical and well-connected to the campus.
