ToggleCentral Institute of Fisheries Education can be called as the national leader on fisheries education in India. Established in 6th June 1961 by Government of India and established with an aim of imparting higher education and research and training opportunities to the in-service fisheries personnel of the country to support the fisheries developmental activities.
