The Tashkent State Medical Institute dates all the way back to 1918, when Turkestan People’s University established a medical faculty. For a very short period of time, it developed into a full-blooded university faculty, both in terms of work and the level of pedagogical staff, as well as in terms of equipment. This Tashkent State Medical Academy continues to maintain a superior standard of medical education and improves and employs cutting-edge instructional tools competently. To meet the needs of the period, the faculty was reorganized in 1931 as the independent Central Asian Medical Institute, and then in 1935 as the Tashkent State Medical Institute.

TeamLease Skills University Scholarships
TeamLease Skills University(TLSU) provides scholarships based on merit. The university has its own aptitude test for the scholarship process. The scores of the 12th standard and the score of the aptitude test are both added to determine the scholarship amount.
- Candidates who score more than or equal to 80% get a 100% scholarship in all the courses.
- Candidates who score more than 70% but less than 80% get 80% scholarships in all the courses.
- Candidates who score more than 60% but less than 40% get an 80% scholarship in all the courses.
