The MBA (IB) program is the flagship program of IIFT Delhi, which has been running since 1963. The program is one of the most popular and competitive programs in the country, with a selection ratio of less than 1%. The MBA (BA) program is a new program launched by IIFT Delhi in the academic year 2023-24. The program is designed to equip the students with the skills and tools to analyze, interpret, and leverage data for business decision-making.
Both the programs, MBA (IB) & (BA) admit students through the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). This is the first time IIFT would be accepting CAT scores so the cutoffs are not known but are expected to lie around 97 percentile. The shortlisted candidates for both programs are further evaluated based on group discussion, extempore, writing skills assessment, and personal interviews.

The batch size for the MBA (IB) program is around 230 students and for the MBA (BA) program is 60 students, which is expected to increase to 100 for the batch of 2024-26. The programs have a diverse and talented pool of students from various backgrounds, such as engineering, commerce, arts, science, law, medicine, etc. The programs also have a good mix of freshers and experienced candidates, with an average work experience of 2 years. The programs also have a decent representation of female candidates, with around 30% of the batch being women.
IIFT Delhi CAT cutoff for MBA (IB) and MBA (BA) is 55 Percentile for sectional, while the GMAT cutoff for MBA (BA) is 700. This cutoff is used to shortlist the candidates for the personal interview. The details for the same is tabulated below:Â

There are various factors that are considered for final section like CAT/ GMAT score, Extempore score, Gender Divversity, Academic Diversity, Work Experience and Academic Consistency. The candidates need to score the minimum cutoff to be selected, which is 57.5Â for MBA-IB and 62 for MBA-BA, out of 100. The cutoff for the final selection are as follows:

The final placements for the MBA (IB) batch of 2021-23 were completed in February 2023, with a 16% increase in the average salary, which went up to Rs.29.10 LPA from Rs.25.16 LPA last year. The highest salary offered was Rs.85.4 LPA, while the median salary was Rs.26.5 LPA1. The batch size was 233 students. The placement process witnessed the participation of 125 companies, out of which 42 were new recruiters.
It accounted for the top spot with 22% offers, acting as a testimony to the pedagogy and talent pool for this domain at IIFT.
