MIT World Peace University Overview

MIT World Peace University is a private University recognised by the UGC in 1983. MIT Pune offers UG, PG, and PhD programs in Engineering & Technology, Management, Law, Design, and Computer Applications. For 2025, MIT-WPU has been ranked at 24 for BBA/BMS by CollegeDunia, while NIRF ranked it in the band of 151-200 in the Overall category for the same year. 

MIT-WPU offers BTech as the most popular program. Candidates should have cleared 10+2 with 50% to be eligible for admission. The final selection of candidates is based on scores obtained in the MIT-WPU CET examination, held by the University. Candidates must note that JEE/ MHT-CET/ PERA/ NEET (Bioengineering) scores will also be considered for admission. Admissions are also offered through the management quota.

According to the MIT-WPU Placements 2025 report, more than 730+ recruiters participated in the placement drive. MIT World Peace University Admissions 2026

MIT World Peace University offers admission to a wide range of courses under diverse disciplines. MIT World Peace University Scholarships 2026

MIT-WPU offers financial assistance and scholarships worth INR 50 Crores to its meritorious students based on their academic performance in proposed National level/State Level entrance exams and internal tests conducted by MIT-WPU (MIT-WPU CET) for the academic year 2026-27. All MIT-WPU Scholarships are listed below.

  • Dr Vishwanath Karad Scholarship: This scholarship provides a 100% fee waiver for the entire duration of the Programme and is applicable for 5% of the total students’ intake.
  • MIT-WPU Merit Scholarship 1: These scholarships are provided at the rate of 50% fee waiver in total academic fee for the entire duration of the Programme up to 10% of the total students’ intake.
  • MIT-WPU Merit Scholarship 2: These scholarships are provided at the rate of 25% fee waiver in total academic fee for the entire duration of the Programme up to 12% of the total students’ intake.
  • Hon’ble Shri TN Seshan Scholarship: This special scholarship is offered to candidates admitted to the School of Government. The students at the School of Government who are the wards of in-service public servants with a minimum of 5 years of experience in government service shall receive the “Hon’ble Sri. T N Seshan Scholarship” which amounts to 15% of the Programme fee.
  • Elite Sportspersons Scholarships: These scholarships are awarded to deserving sports persons based on their participation/winning the prizes at Nationally/Internationally recognized sports competitions/events. Any candidate who participates/wins a medal at west zone inter-university, all India inter-university, national or international level, while representing MIT-WPU or playing for any Govt. sponsored/ Govt. recognized official sports organization [IOA, BCCI, etc.]; in any nationally/ internationally recognized sporting event; in individual or team sports; would be eligible for the following scholarship for the remaining period of the Programme, only if he/she participates and wins a medal on the National / International Level.

Ques. What is the MIT-WPU CET like?

Ans. The MIT-WPU CET consists of 150 marks which includes Online Computer Based Test (CBT) of 100 marks and/or Online Personal Interaction (PI) of 50 marks. All the entrance examination tests will be online, and applicants can appear the same from their home or convenient place comfortably. The test can be attempted through a laptop or mobile. The candidate should ensure that a good internet connectivity (minimum 1 MBPS) and an uninterrupted power supply is available during online examinations.

Ques. What is the percentile required for MIT-WPU Admissions?

Ans. For MIT-WPU Pune BTech admissions, a minimum JEE percentile of 85% is typically required for scholarships. However, for specific scholarships like the Dr. Vishwanath Karad Scholarship, a percentile of 97 and above is required. For the MIT-WPU Scholarship 1, a 96 percentile is required. For MIT-WPU Scholarship 2, a 95 percentile is recommended.

Ques. Does MIT-WPU have a “Makeup Exam” policy?

Ans. “Makeup Exams” at MIT-WPU have been designed ONLY for final-year students who have had to miss their end-term exams due to genuine reasons. These exams are limited to a maximum of 2 courses.
