Indus International University (IIU) was established under regulation Act, 2009, of Himachal Pradesh Government with the right to confer degree as per sections 2f and 22 of the UGC Act 1956.The university campus is situated in Bathau, in Una district. The campus is spread over 160000 sq. feet over 7 blocks.
It has been set up as a not-for-profit institution with the primary objective of providing educational opportunities in rural India. This step was taken to provide higher education to the rural students in order to save their time in traveling to other cities where all the major public universities are located. The University aims to provide high quality and world-class educational facilities to the students.Â
