IITs

  • Students with a bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology from educational institutions approved by AICTE/ Government are eligible to apply, given they have scored at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD categories).
  • Students with a BTech degree from IITs with a CGPA of 8.0 and above can even apply without the GATE score.
  • Students who have passed M.Sc. or equivalent in any science discipline or MCA or a UG degree like BSc with Physics and Mathematics or BCA can also apply.
  • The admission takes place via GATE and COAP Counselling.

NITs

  • Students must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with at least 60% marks. Candidates should secure 6.5 CGPA or 60% for GEN-EWS, whereas 6.0 CGPA or 55% in case of PwD candidates.
  • They must have a valid GATE score of the year 2023 / 2024 / 2025 and apply for CCMT (Centralized Counseling for MTech).

Delhi Technological University

  • Students must have passed in relevant UG degree with at least 60% aggregate marks. Those in the final year of their UG degree can also apply.
  • Students with AMIE/ AMIS/ AMIICHE/ AMIIM/ Grad IETE or those who possess a BSc/ Diploma in Engineering are also eligible
  • MTech Admission Criteria 2025: GATE (for full-time MTech), and DTU admission test for non-GATE full-time MTech candidates.

BITS Pilani

  • A valid BE/BTech degree in relevant specialization from a recognized university passed with a minimum of 60% aggregate.
  • Students can apply with a valid score of GATE/GPAT/BITS HD Online Test.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology

  • Students must hold a B.E/BTech degree in Engineering or Technology with a minimum of 50% marks and possess a valid SRMJEEE (PG)/GATE score.

  • Students must have graduated with BTech/B.E. from a university recognised by AICTE with a minimum of 55% marks.
  • General category students must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate in the BTech (or equivalent)  examination. The aggregate marks for SC, ST, and PWD marks should be at least 45-50% in order to be eligible for M Tech admissions.
  • Students must select which branch or specialisation they wish to pursue under a postgraduate course in Engineering. They must fulfill the criteria for entrance for M Tech.
  • Students must apply for the entrance examinations by thoroughly filling the application form and must appear for the entrance examination by preparing religiously for it.
  • Institutions will declare the results and based on the cut-off and rank awarded to the candidates, they will be selected for counseling process. 
  • They must score more than the cut-off released for GATE in order to be eligible for the COAP process. Apart from that, the candidate must also be in possession of the relevant documents for counselling process.
  • The opening and closing ranks for various branches across various Engineering colleges will determine whether the candidate is able to secure admission to the desired engineering college.
  • After the declaration of results, students are often called for the counselling rounds to allocate them seats based on their score and rank in the entrance test. After seat allocation, students must pay the required M Tech course fees and submit documents for verification.
