As per one of our anonymous student reviews on Collegedunia, “Gravitas is the technical festival, and Riviera is the cultural festival. Gravitas is held in September-October, and Riviera is held in February. The library has a vast number of books on all fields, and the availability of particular books can be tracked through the college portal. Students can use the library and even after the hostel, in-time students can access the night library till late at night. The drawback is that it does not have a 24-hour open policy, but that is also keeping the students’ safety in mind. All classrooms have smartboards where faculty can present their lectures, and there are a huge number of labs with state-of-the-art equipment. Basketball courts, badminton courts, gymnasiums (both free and paid), a swimming pool, as well as volleyball courts are open to the students. The college has around 250 clubs and chapters covering almost all topics of interest, from technology to food to music to movies. Dr. MGR Block: VIT Vellore’s most scenic area is Dr. MGR Block, an administrative block. It is right in front of the main gate of the campus, i.e, Gate No.1. The block comprises administrative offices and classes for Mechanical & Civil Engineering students. Furthermore, this block also houses the Dean’s office.

Central Library: On the very left side of Dr. MGR Block, there is a central library named “ Periyan EVR Central Library”.

Online Shopping Pick-Up Points: On campus, there is an Amazon pick-up point from where students can collect their Amazon parcels within the time allotted to them for delivery. Alongside, there’s also a Myntra pickup point inside the campus. 

Sir M. Visvesvaraya Block: VIT Vellore’s Sir M. Visvesvaraya Block is located right in front of the girls’ hostel and Kalpana Chawala Lawn. It is a place where classes of Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Hotel Management takes place. 

On-Campus Facilities: On campus, there are many food outlets available such as Domino’s, Nescafe, Amul Parlour, Paid Canteens, Cafes & Food Courts, and many more. The campus also offers facilities like HDFC ATM, SBI ATM, KVB ATM, Stationery, Xerox Shops, footwear shops, Clothing shops, and Mobile Repair Shops. 

Anna Auditorium: It is the place in the Vellore campus of VIT University where all the functions and seminars take place. Further, all the documents of the candidate before and after admission will be verified here. 

Druva Kumar says that “Hostels are mostly good, but the only problem is bathrooms and AC. Don’t get me wrong, the cleaning of bathrooms is regularly done, but the students don’t maintain them properly as they leave them unflushed, mainly because the flush doesn’t work. A lot of AC rooms are available, but if you don’t have a good rank to get an AC room or a friend with a good hostel counseling rank who’s going to take you as his roommate, you have to spend the semester without AC. Rooms are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 bedded; usually, 3 beds are recommended. In 6 beds, you will get bunk beds, but the room is really spacious. I would recommend it if you have a lot of friends, but not in your first year. STQRKLMNG are some of the best hostel blocks and are really good, mainly the new ones like RQST, but the pricing is also set according to the level of newness of the block. Prices range from 1.5 Lakhs to 3 Lakhs based on your bed, and the block you choose, especially deluxe blocks like S T Q R, is apartment type, which is really good but extremely costly. Read More”

Silver Jubilee Tower: It was made on VIT’s 25^th anniversary. The IT Department resides in this building and all the IIT’s classes and labs are here.

Greenos & Foodys: All the massive events of VIT take place here. 

VIT Lake: It is one of the best spots at the Vellore campus.
