Kerala Kalamandalam Overview
Kerala Kalamandalam is a training center and conducts the performance of classical arts and was established by poet Vallathol Narayana Menon and Munkadaraja in 1930 in Thrissur, Kerala. It is a UGC recognized university offering Arts and Culture courses. The college provides B.A, M.A, M.Phil, and Ph.D. in the field of Cultural and Performing arts. The Institute has Departments of Kathakali, Mohiniyattam, Kuttiyattam, Mridangam, Chenda, Karnatic Music, Malayalam, English, and Sanskrit.
Aspiring candidates will have to appear for the university entrance exam followed by an interview round for admissions.
