FORENSIC SCIENCE

An interdisciplinary curriculum leading to a degree in forensic science concentrates on applying scientific methods and ideas to criminal investigations and court cases. Typically, the curriculum covers a wide range of topics, such as forensic psychology, criminal justice, chemistry, physics and biology. The many forensic approaches and techniques utilized in crime scene investigation, evidence gathering, analysis and interpretation are taught to students enrolled in forensic science schools. In addition, they investigate forensic anthropology, forensic odontology, forensic toxicology, forensic biology (including DNA analysis), forensic chemistry (including drug analysis and trace evidence analysis) and forensic entomology.
