The Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS) is a comprehensive undergraduate program that integrates the principles of naturopathy and yoga for holistic health and wellness. Typically spanning five and a half years, including a one-year internship, the course emphasizes natural healing methods and preventive healthcare.The BNYS curriculum covers subjects such as anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, and the fundamentals of naturopathy and yoga. Students learn about various therapeutic modalities, including diet therapy, hydrotherapy, acupuncture, and herbal medicine, as well as yoga practices for physical and mental well-being.

BNYS Overview

BNYS also termed as Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Science. BNYS is 4.5 years undergraduate degree course focussing on naturopathy and the use of yoga in treating bodily ailments. Students must complete 1 year of mandatory internship after completing the 4.5 Year UG course. Naturopathy can also be called an alternative medicine that does not use drugs or medicines to heal or prevent. Thus, it is often non-invasive and also non-prescriptive.

The basic eligibility crietria required to pursue the course include candidates having cleared their class 12 board exams preferably in Science stream with an average aggregate score of 50% and above or equivalent CGPA from a recognized board. Admissions to BNYS courses are done on the basis of merit as well as entrance exams such as NEET UG conducted by the NTA. After completing the course students get the chance to work as Ayurvedic Doctors. BNYS doctors cannot perform surgery but they can treat any kind of patient using their own methods. BNYS Doctor heals and treat people using diet control, naturopathy and breathing. The average salary received after completing the course ranges between INR 32,000 – 40,000 per month.
