Results of the first round of admissions based on GATE/GPAT scores for ME/M.Pharm Admission 2024 are now available. For chosen applicants, the deadline for admission is May 22, 2025.
The dates of the 2025 BITS HD Online Test are set for May 19–24. Iteration 2’s admission offers to students based on BITS HD and GATE/GPAT will be made public on June 7, 2025.

Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani) is a private deemed university located in Rajasthan. The other three campuses of BITS are located in Goa, Hyderabad, and Dubai. BITS Pilani was established in 1964 and has received a “A” accreditation grade from the NAAC. BITS Pilani Admission 2025
BITS Pilani offers admission to major courses such as BE, ME, MBA, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, M.Sc, and PhD. BITS Pilani Admission is entrance-based, followed by Counselling or PI.
- BITS Pilani conducts BITSAT in 2 Sessions for admission to its BE, B.Pharm, and M.Sc programs. Session 1 and Session 2 Tests are held in May and June, respectively.
- For ME and M.Pharm, it conducts the BITS Higher Degree (HD) Online Test and also accepts GATE and GPAT scores, respectively.

Other Modes of Admission for BE, B.Pharm & M.Sc at BITS Pilani
- Board Toppers: The institute offers direct admission to first-ranked students of all the central and state boards to the program of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT score. While the first rank student in PCM stream will be considered for admission to any of the first degree programmes of his/her choice, the first rank holder of PCB stream will be considered for admission to the B.Pharm program only.
- International Students’ Admission: Candidates with foreign passports and valid Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) scores are eligible to apply for admission. Such candidates are not required to appear for the BITSAT. Candidate should have a minimum aggregate score of 1160 (out of a maximum of 1600) in SAT (reasoning) (new format), which includes a Reading Test, Writing and Language Test, and Math test.
- BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy: Candidates who appeared in BITSAT can also choose the BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy mode of admission. They’ll receive two degrees that are awarded separately and simultaneously from both the universities, BITS Pilani and RMIT Australia.

BITS Pilani accepts admission based on BITSAT, BITS HD Test, BAAT, GATE, and GPAT scores. BITS Pilani Cutoff 2025 is yet to be released. Special Scholarships
BITS Pilani provides special scholarships to support students in unique circumstances. Board toppers with a minimum of 90% aggregate receive a 50% tuition fee waiver for the first year. Physically challenged students are granted a 15% tuition fee reduction for the entire program. A 25% concession is available for the second child in families with multiple enrolled children. In case of the sudden death of the earning member, up to 100% of the tuition fee may be waived.
Scholarships for Continuing Students
Students who maintain a CGPA of 9.00 or above at the end of a semester are eligible for a 20% tuition fee scholarship for the following semester at BITS Pilani.

PhD Programs
PhD students at BITS Pilani who are enrolled full-time and do not receive any other financial aid are eligible for an institute assistantship. Under this scheme, they receive a monthly stipend of INR 31,000 in exchange for contributing 8 to 10 hours per week towards research, teaching, or administrative work.
