BVIMR is a residential college with only girls’ hostels on campus. The institute has multiple facilities such as an information centre, a seminar hall, an auditorium, a music room, a sports ground, a gym, a medical centre, an indoor sports activities centre, libraries, and canteens.

Ques. What is the duration of the BCA course at BVIMR?
Ans. The BCA course at BVIMR has a duration of 3 years for the regular BCA program and 4 years for the BCA (hons.) program. The 3-year BCA program is divided into six semesters, while the Honors program has eight semesters over 4 years.
Ques. Does BVIMR provide hostel accommodation?
Ans. BVIMR provides hostel accommodation only for female students. The college has 2 girls’ hostel buildings within the campus, accommodating around 100 girls. These hostels offer facilities like internet connections, recreation centres, comfortable dining halls, indoor games, newspapers, magazines, an intercom, and cable TV. The rooms are air-conditioned with attached bathrooms, study tables, and other required furniture. The hostels are well-maintained, hygienic, and have 24/7 mess services offering healthy food at affordable prices. There is no hostel facility for boys, who need to find accommodation outside the campus.

Ques. Does a candidate have to clear CAT for MBA at BVIMR?
Ans. No, a candidate does not have to clear the CAT exam for admission to the MBA program at BVIMR. Instead, BVIMR conducts its entrance exam called BMAT, followed by counselling and Personal Interview rounds conducted by the university.
The candidate must clear the BMAT entrance exam and should have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
