Undergraduate or graduate programs in psychology are dedicated to the scientific study of the mind and behavior. The program aims to give students a thorough understanding of psychological theories, research techniques and how psychological concepts are applied to different facets of daily life. Usually lasting three to four years, the undergraduate curriculum leads to a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) in psychology. Developmental psychology, cognitive psychology, social psychology, abnormal psychology, biopsychology and psychological assessment are just a few of the many topics it covers. In addition, research methodologies, statistics and ethical issues in psychological practice and research are taught to students.
