Babu Dinesh Singh University, Garhwa located on NH-75 with the Green Campus spread over more than 100 acres of land with excellent Infrastructure and is surrounded with lush green fields, a pollution free peaceful study environment, only at 6 kms distance from Garhwa District HQ. A vibrant location for social and intellectual activities. Many Colleges are  running from the last sixteen years under Vananchal Educational Welfare & Trust(Sponsoring Body), most  of the college & their program at UG and PG level which is  accredited by NAAC.

Babu Dinesh Singh University (BDSU) has came into existence on 17^th Feb, 2023 as a Private University after notification of Government of Jharkhand, it’s in Jharkhand Gazette Vide No: 94 Ranchi passed by Jharkhand Assembly and assented by  Hon’ble  Governor of Jharkhand State on 14. 02. 2023 in the name of Babu Dinesh Singh University Act-2022 (Jharkhand Act No.-06, 2023).

With a view to making Higher Education accessible to a vast population of a predominant tribal region, this University has been rendering valuable services to a big chunk of marginalized young generation since its establishment. Situated in a socially and economically challenged area. Our campus has Modern Classrooms, Computer Centers, Conference Halls, Library, Hi-Tech Laboratories/ Workshops and Administrative Block with ambient and academically conductive environment. The University has well equipped auditorium for the purpose of Conferences, Seminars and Presentations with adequate and comfortable seating capacity.

In order to stand the pace of advancement in the institutions of Higher Education across the globe, BDSU is going to start many new courses in Engineering & Technology, Information Technology, Management & Research, Library & Information Science, etc., apart from Pharmacy and likely to transfer courses like Homoeopathy, Dental Science, Nursing, Education, MLT from different affiliating university to BDSU. We are also going to introduce novel and innovative contents in its conventional courses. The introduction of self-financing/vocational courses like B.C.A./M.C.A, B.B.A/M.B.A., some Post Graduate Diploma/Diploma/Certificate Courses, etc., is a next step of the university towards preparing talented students for employment opportunities and fulfilling the regular need of services required by our people.

The University is planning for has started extramural lecture series in each Faculty in the recognition of contribution of great academicians in the respective areas.

This University is working in the direction of imparting quality education on one hand and recognizing the talents of the distinguished scholars for motivating and inspiring the young, on the other hand.

The University provides facility of teaching and research up to PG and Doctoral levels in major tribal and regional languages. One highly updated language-labs have been established in this University that will help sharpen and chisel linguistic competence of the students. The University strives to extend every possible support to the tribal students to make them self-dependent.

BDSU is the congregation of knowledge and vision that provides a unique opportunity to its students to gain insights into tomorrow’s technology. This follows a holistic approach which transformed the students into new generation citizens with vision, a deep sense of moral and ethical values and social responsibilities. The rapidly changing technology and the digital revolution are changing the higher education scenario; and we are constantly devising Teaching-Learning Processes to accommodate these changed expectations.

Our endeavor is to integrate knowledge and inculcate in our students, the skills to manipulate knowledge to meet their career goals and continue the process of lifelong learning. We have set high expectation for students achievement through encouraging them to develop technical skills in critical thinking, problem solving and team work for their passion to achieve.

Emphasizing on Industrial exposure through regular Industrial Visits and incorporating Project Work, Guest Lectures, Seminars and Personality Development Programs and other Value-added Services as part of curriculum with making internship opportunities.

BDSU is a collaborative, online, interconnected learning community having Wi-Fi Enabled, aesthetically designed lively campus with ergonomically designed lecture theatres with projectors and interactive whiteboards to combine best of our teaching pedagogy with practical future focused learning. Limited intake in each program ensures close monitoring of quality of each program

 The University has well equipped Gymnasium, Cricket ground, Basket Ball Court, Volley–Ball Court, Badminton Court and Indoor Facility for Table Tennis etc. The University is also a member of Association of Indian Universities and its teams participate in various National Tournaments. Students of BDSU have been winner in State & National Tournaments. Its Yoga Centre is performing well in tune with wellness campaign of the Government of India.

Having well-furnished Hostels for boys and girls (Separately) with top class facilities and both on most reasonable charges that too within the campus. Having a well-equipped Gymnasium with setup arrangements to encourage and motivate students towards physical fitness.

BDSU concerns with the safety and added comfort to ensure safe travel. BDSU is providing transport facilities by buses designed as per standards and operated by experienced drivers. BDSU also provide pick and drop facility to students coming from nearby or far places across the city.

BDSU’s Training & Placement Cell is dedicated to provide all possible jobs seeking assistance to its students to find employment. Separate Cell has also been established that conduct a survey on recruiter’s expectations from the view point of the students and feedback from employer of past batches. Training & Placement Cell also conducts various Training Sessions to enhance the skill of the students of the University.
